HanaTour Invests in 'PPT Tour' to Enter Automobile-Themed Travel Market
Acquires 16% Stake in PPT Tour, Becoming Second-Largest Shareholder
Strengthening Premium Product Portfolio
HanaTour announced on March 16 that it has made a strategic investment (SI) in PPT Tour (PPT Motor Tour), a luxury automobile-themed travel company, acquiring a 16% stake and becoming the second-largest shareholder. PPT Tour specializes in planning and operating premium automobile and motorsports-themed travel products, based on driving programs offered by global luxury car brands and motorsports experiences such as F1 Grand Prix events.
With this investment, HanaTour plans to actively target the premium travel market centered on automobile themes. The company aims to expand its premium product portfolio in response to the rising trend of demand for high-end experiential travel.
The two companies will collaborate to jointly develop premium automobile-themed travel products. Focusing on 'Zeus World,' HanaTour’s high-end travel brand which is scheduled for renewal, they plan to introduce PPT Tour’s signature products and expand their jointly planned offerings. Additionally, they intend to develop exclusive packages combining luxury driving tours with F1 admission tickets, while enhancing the competitiveness of individual products such as admission passes and local tours.
The first jointly developed product, the 'Singapore Grand Prix Tour 4 Days,' departing this October, has been released. The premium itinerary includes admission to the Singapore Grand Prix—the only nighttime city race in F1—as well as Michelin-starred restaurant meals and luxury hotel accommodations. The package also features a river cruise to enjoy Singapore’s nightscape and major sightseeing activities.
To celebrate the product launch, a promotion will be held. Among the customers who make reservations, three teams (six people) will be selected by lottery to receive suite room upgrades at the hotel (two teams) and a business class flight upgrade (one team).
