Harman JBL Launches AI-Powered Amplifier and Speaker "JBL Bandbox"
On March 16, Samsung Electronics announced that Harman’s JBL brand, its audio subsidiary, will launch the AI-powered amplifier and speaker, the “JBL Bandbox.”
The JBL Bandbox is an AI-based smart practice amplifier and portable speaker lineup designed for both beginners and experienced musicians. By combining the freedom of portable audio with powerful features tailored for musicians, it helps users practice, jam, and create music anytime and anywhere.
At the heart of the product is “Stem AI,” an intelligent vocal and instrument separation technology that allows users to isolate or remove vocals, guitar, and drums from any track in real time directly on the device. Whether practicing solo, rehearsing with friends, or jamming along to a favorite song, users can easily transform tracks into custom accompaniment mixes tailored to their instrument.
The JBL Bandbox Solo is designed for individual performers seeking a streamlined practice environment while maintaining sound quality and creative control. Equipped with a single guitar/microphone input jack, it is ideal for guitarists, singer-songwriters, home players, or anyone who wants to practice with minimal equipment.
The JBL Bandbox Trio builds on this foundation by offering expanded features for group performance environments. Supporting four instrument inputs, it is perfect for small bands, jam sessions, and duos who want to play together without a full setup. With a built-in four-channel mixer, users can adjust levels, set tones, and apply various effects directly from the speaker, enabling high flexibility and immediate control during performances.
