View original imageYeongam County in South Jeolla Province will construct additional accommodation facilities at the Yeongam Seoul Farm to strengthen urban resident-oriented rural experience infrastructure.
The county announced that on March 10, it held a donation agreement ceremony at the county office with the Green Umbrella Jeonnam Regional Headquarters for the construction of accommodation facilities at the rural experience site, Yeongam Seoul Farm.
Yeongam Seoul Farm is a rural experience facility operated by Yeongam County to provide urban residents with opportunities to experience rural life and to expand regional exchanges.
Under this agreement, Green Umbrella will invest its budget to build rural experience accommodations on land provided by Yeongam County. Upon completion, the facilities will be donated to Yeongam County as shared property.
The newly established accommodations will be operated by Yeongam County and used as spaces for urban residents participating in stay-type rural experience programs at Yeongam Seoul Farm.
In addition, the target group for rural experience programs will be expanded to include socially disadvantaged groups and vulnerable populations, such as families with migration backgrounds, operating the site as a space of sharing and mutual growth.

Kim Sunmi, Director of Population and Youth at Yeongam County, stated, "This agreement and the construction of accommodations are a meaningful example of expanding rural experience spaces through private sector social contribution and cooperation with local governments. We will further develop Yeongam Seoul Farm as a hub connecting urban and rural areas and as a space for social sharing and mutual prosperity."
