In response to the growing trend of artificial intelligence (AI) transformation, the government will nurture 900 next-generation content creators who can freely utilize related technologies.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency announced on March 11 that they will publicly recruit educational institutions to participate in the newly established "AI-Specialized Content Creator Training Support Program" until March 27. With a government budget of 4.5 billion won, the program aims to foster practical talent capable of integrating AI technologies throughout the entire process of content planning, production, and distribution.

Nine consortiums, involving content companies, universities, and regional development agencies, will be selected to participate. Each selected institution will receive approximately 500 million won in funding.

Participating institutions must designate a domestic corporation established for at least three years as the lead organization and, until the end of November, operate project-based practical training for job seekers, aspiring entrepreneurs, and inexperienced professionals. Each consortium is expected to produce at least 100 graduates.

Outstanding creative works discovered through the curriculum will be released to the public and industry stakeholders through related events at the end of the year. Yoo Hyunseok, Acting President of the Korea Creative Content Agency, stated, "This is a starting point for enhancing the future competitiveness of the K-content industry," and added, "We will continue to discover specialized talent that will inject new vitality into the sector."
