Enhanced Texture and Flavor with Double-Layer Structure
Sweet Coating Increased 4.6 Times Compared to Classic Pepero
Lotte Wellfood is introducing the first-ever premium line product under its Pepero brand.
On March 11, Lotte Wellfood announced the launch of the premium Pepero, “Double Rich Salty Vanilla.” The new product features a double-layer structure, offering a richer texture and flavor compared to previous products. By utilizing an aeration technique, the coating layer is made thicker and smoother, and the amount of sweet coating has been increased to about 4.6 times that of existing Pepero products.
The ingredients have also been differentiated to match the premium concept. Madagascar vanilla beans are used to enhance the aroma, and Andean lake salt is added to create a balanced blend of sweetness and saltiness.
Lotte Wellfood plans to use this product launch as an opportunity to expand the Pepero brand’s product portfolio. The strategy is to broaden consumer choices by adding premium products to the lineup, which has traditionally centered on classic offerings.
“Double Rich Salty Vanilla” Pepero will be available through all online and offline channels starting mid-March, as a limited seasonal product.
