"Youth Gambling Prevention, By Our Own Hands"... Kangwon Land Launches Short-form and Webtoon Contest
Kangwon Land and Korea Center on Gambling Problems to Award 17.1 Million Won in Total Prizes
"2nd Youth Gambling Prevention Content Contest" Now Open
Kangwon Land (Acting CEO Nam Han-kyu) announced on March 10 that it will co-host the "2nd Help the Youth Gambling Prevention Content Contest" together with the Korea Center on Gambling Problems to raise awareness about the dangers of illegal gambling addiction among youth.
This contest was planned to highlight the risks of illegal youth gambling and the importance of prevention, as well as to help foster proper values among future generations. By encouraging young people to create their own content, the organizers hope to spread preventive messages that resonate with their peers.
The contest is open to all middle and high school students nationwide. Participants may enter individually or as a team in one of three categories: short-form video, webtoon, or poster. Submissions must be uploaded to the official "Youth Gambling Prevention Content Contest" website by April 19.
Winners will be selected by a panel of experts, with a total of 18 awards to be given on May 14: one grand prize, one top excellence prize, and two excellence prizes in each category. The total prize money amounts to 17.1 million won.

Additionally, the awards ceremony and exhibition are scheduled to be held in May in conjunction with the "Youth Gambling Problem Prevention Week" organized by the Integrated Supervisory Commission for Speculative Industries. The winning works will also be used in promotional materials to help raise awareness and change perceptions among young people.
Nam Han-kyu, Acting Head of the Casino Division at Kangwon Land, stated, "Illegal youth gambling is an issue that requires a collective response from society to protect the next generation. As a public enterprise, Kangwon Land will continue to fulfill its social responsibility and expand prevention programs for youth protection and the cultivation of a healthy future generation, in collaboration with relevant agencies."
