[New Release] Ultra-Thin Sticks Meet Fruit Flavor... Haitai Launches Pocky Ultra Thin 'Melon'
About 40% Thinner Than the Original
Fruit-Flavored Product Developed Through Technology Localization
Haitai Confectionery announced on the 10th that it will launch 'Melon,' the first fruit-flavored product of 'Pocky Ultra Thin,' the thinnest stick snack in Korea.
This is the first time that Haitai Confectionery has used fruit, rather than chocolate, as a coating for its ultra-thin sticks. The ultra-thin sticks are about 40% slimmer than the original, and until now, only highly viscous chocolate could be used as a coating. However, through technology localization, the company has succeeded in developing a fruit-flavored product.

Due to the nature of the thin sticks, the proportion of cream coating on the surface is more than 30% higher than the original, allowing for a richer and creamier melon flavor with every bite. The first fruit-flavored ultra-thin stick uses melons grown in Naju, Jeollanam-do, the largest melon-producing region in Korea.
Starting with melon, Haitai Confectionery plans to significantly expand the lineup of Pocky Ultra Thin. In addition, for the first time among Pocky products, it will be available at Olive Young stores. The rollout will begin at the Myeong-dong branch, a popular spot for foreign tourists, and will gradually expand to other locations.

A representative from Haitai Confectionery stated, "Currently, Korea and Japan are the only countries in the world where melon-flavored stick snacks are sold, making them particularly rare," adding, "We aim to establish this as a premium stick snack where consumers can enjoy both the unique crispiness of ultra-thin sticks and the rich, refreshing taste of melon."
