This agreement targets a large-scale apartment complex construction project currently underway in the 424 Uijeongbu-dong area. The main points of the agreement include: ▲ expanding participation by local companies ▲ increasing the use of local resources ▲ ensuring project safety ▲ and strengthening win-win cooperation. Based on these principles, the city and the construction company have agreed to establish a sustainable foundation for shared growth between the local construction industry and the community.
Through this agreement, the city plans to inject new vitality into the stagnant local construction market, lead practical co-growth with local companies, and take the lead in revitalizing the regional economy.
New Residential Landmark in Uijeongbu Targeted for Completion in 2030
The project is being implemented as a regional housing cooperative and consists of 987 members. After receiving approval for cooperative establishment in 2019 and project implementation in 2023, the construction start notification was completed in 2025, and the project has entered full-scale development this year.
The complex will comprise five buildings, ranging from six basement levels to 49 floors above ground, and is planned as a large-scale residential community with 1,252 apartment units and 48 officetels.
With completion targeted for 2030, the project is expected to become a landmark that will radically improve the residential environment in downtown Uijeongbu.
An official from Uijeongbu City stated, "This third win-win agreement will serve as a precedent for shared growth between the local community and construction companies, going beyond a simple construction project. In particular, we aim to renovate the aging environment near Uijeongbu Station, where the GTX-C line will be established, and provide a high-quality residential environment that instills civic pride through the creation of a super high-rise landmark."
