Hive Expands K-pop Content with Spotify Video Podcasts
Podcast Channel Name to Be Revealed on March 23
Omnibus Format... First Content Coming Next Month
Hive is joining forces with the global audio and music streaming platform Spotify to expand the global reach of K-pop content.
On March 6, Hive announced that it will launch an official video podcast channel on the Spotify platform. Under this global content partnership, Hive will plan and produce the video content, while Spotify will handle its distribution.
Hive explained that it initiated this collaboration in response to the rapidly increasing influence of video podcasts in the global music market. With Spotify leading the podcast service sector and boasting approximately 751 million users worldwide, Hive expects that audiences will naturally encounter K-pop while exploring content on the platform.
Hive will reveal the name of its video podcast channel on March 23, coinciding with the channel's launch. The podcast will feature not only artists from Hive Music Group but also creators from various fields, offering content centered on music and daily life. It will be operated as an omnibus channel, gathering diverse topics within a single channel. The first content will be released sequentially starting in April. Content production will be managed by the dedicated in-house team, "Hive Media Studio (HMS)."
