"The Pioneer of Smooth Soju"... Muhak Launches "All New Joeunday"
Liquor company Muhak has launched a renewed version of "Joeunday."
On March 6, Muhak announced the release of "All New Joeunday," a premium low-alcohol soju that upgrades the original "Joeunday," known as the pioneer of smooth soju.
"All New Joeunday" is a 15.7% ABV low-alcohol product designed to cater to consumers who prefer a clean and easy-drinking experience. It features a smooth and crisp taste, achieved by using 100% domestically produced distilled rice spirit and a special 72-hour oxygen aging process.
This renewed product enhances the deep flavor and preserves the unique taste of rice by adding 100% domestically produced distilled rice spirit. The 72-hour oxygen aging method reduces impurities and harshness, while the bonding of water molecules creates a silky, clean finish from start to end.
Another feature is that it is a "zero fructose" product, made without the addition of fructose, allowing consumers to enjoy it cleanly and without burden. The product design has also been refreshed. While maintaining the original brand identity of Joeunday, the new design emphasizes a cleaner and more sophisticated image. For the first time in Korea, a holographic label has been applied to visually represent the transparency and purity symbolized by the 72-hour oxygen aging process.
The label logo features a gothic font with soft rounded edges to embody the product's "clean yet smooth" character. Additionally, the inclusion of "SINCE 1929" and a 20th-anniversary element for Joeunday highlights Muhak's history and the brand's reliability.
With this renewal launch, Muhak has also introduced a consumer participation element. The inside of the bottle cap features a total of 504 names and 112 clover designs, allowing consumers to find their own or their acquaintances' names for a fun discovery experience, which is expected to naturally encourage sharing and engagement on social media.
A Muhak representative stated, "All New Joeunday was developed with the consumer's drinking experience as the top priority throughout the entire process, redefining the basics of soju's taste and smoothness. By utilizing domestically produced distilled rice spirit and the 72-hour oxygen aging process, we will continue to innovate so that Joeunday sets the standard in the premium low-alcohol soju market as well."
To strengthen its brand image, Muhak plans to carry out various marketing activities, including selecting actress Pyo Yejin, who is from the region, as the new model.
