On March 5 (local time), Kim Siwoo carded four birdies and three bogeys in the first round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational, part of the PGA Tour, held at Bay Hill Club & Lodge (par 72, 7,466 yards) in Orlando, Florida, USA. With a score of 1-under-par 71, Kim tied for 26th place along with Patrick Cantlay and Keegan Bradley (both from the United States). He is two strokes behind the group tied for ninth.

Im Sungjae, making his first PGA Tour appearance of the year, recorded three birdies, three bogeys, and one quadruple bogey for a 4-over-par 76. He is tied for 66th out of 72 players in the field. Im, whose season started late due to a wrist injury, lost four strokes on the 17th hole (par 3) after his tee shot landed in the water twice.
