KPGA Tour Sees Decrease in Total Prize Money
20 Tournaments Scheduled, Same as Last Year
Minimum Total Prize Fund Set at 24.4 Billion Won, Down from 26.9 Billion Won Last Year
Two New Events Yet to Be Confirmed, Korea Open Prize Fund Undecided
This year, the Korea Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA) Tour will feature 20 tournaments, the same number as last year.
On March 5, the KPGA Tour officially announced the 2026 season schedule. The number of tournaments remains unchanged, with a minimum total prize fund of 24.4 billion won and an average prize fund per tournament of approximately 1.28 billion won. The final total prize money for the season will be determined by the prize amount for the 68th Kolon Korea Open. The total prize fund is expected to decrease slightly compared to last year (approximately 26.914 billion won).
The season opener will be the 21st DB Insurance Promy Open (total prize fund: 1 billion won), which will be held from April 16 to 19 at La Vie Belle Golf & Resort in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province. In June, the 69th KPGA Championship, the tournament with the longest history, will take place with a total prize fund of 1.6 billion won.

In the second half of the year, the newly established SBS Open (tentative name) with a total prize fund of 700 million won will be held from August 27 to 30, followed by another new event, the OO Invitational (total prize fund: 800 million won). In November, the season-ending KPGA Tour Championship (total prize fund: 1.1 billion won) will feature the top-ranked players on the Genesis Points list.
