KAMCO Opens "KAMCObrary Branch No. 45" at Bangchuk Community Child Center in Asan, Chungcheongnam-do
Korea Asset Management Corporation (KAMCO) announced on March 4, 2026, that it had opened the "KAMCObrary Branch No. 45," a small library at the Bangchuk Community Child Center in Asan, Chungcheongnam-do, providing a reading space for local children as they begin the new school year.
KAMCObrary is a compound word combining "KAMCO" and "library." It is KAMCO’s social contribution project, which renovates outdated spaces in community child centers to create small libraries, thereby supporting improvements in children's learning environments and their reading activities.
The opening ceremony was attended by Cheon Sungmin, Head of the KAMCO Human Resources Development Institute; Lee Kangcheol, Head of KAMCO's Daejeon-Chungnam Regional Headquarters; An Geumseon, Director of Childcare at Asan City; and Lee Honggu, Vice President of the Korean Red Cross Chungnam Branch, who congratulated the launch of the new library.
KAMCO refurbished unused spaces within the Bangchuk Community Child Center and provided equipment such as air conditioners, desks, and bookshelves to ensure children could enjoy reading activities in a more comfortable environment. In addition, to help children and adolescents develop healthy reading habits, the company donated approximately 400 books and plans to support the purchase of new books and reading guidance programs for the next five years.
