Four main agenda items were addressed: measures to improve metropolitan transportation in the Uijeongbu Yonghyeon Public Housing District; the introduction of a new Uijeongbu city circular bus; ways to strengthen the management of habitual high-amount overdue parking fine offenders; and prior consultations among departments related to the Seoul~Yangju Expressway project.
First, the participants discussed a review of measures to improve metropolitan transportation in response to the development of the Uijeongbu Yonghyeon Public Housing District. The city examined transportation improvement plans to alleviate congestion on major arterial roads in anticipation of increased traffic demand due to the future development of the district, and sought effective metropolitan transportation solutions such as road expansion and railway connectivity.
In addition, a plan to introduce a new Uijeongbu city circular bus was discussed to establish a living-area-wide circulatory transportation system connecting the entire city. Attendees reviewed possible routes and stable operation plans that would link major residential areas, transfer hubs, public institutions, and major hospitals.
The meeting also reviewed measures to strengthen the management of habitual and high-amount overdue parking fine offenders, as well as tailored collection and enforcement strategies. Furthermore, participants discussed prior consultation items among departments for the Seoul~Yangju Expressway, examining key administrative and legal issues that may arise during the project’s implementation process.
