Disney+ Tops New App Installations Last Month Thanks to Hit Show "Fate War 49"
Monthly Active Users Surge to 2.95 Million, Up 20%
Netflix Leads Overall with 14.9 Million Users
Thanks to the success of the survival reality show "Fate War 49," Disney+ ranked first in new online video service (OTT) app installations last month.
According to a sample survey of Korean smartphone users released by WiseApp·Retail on March 5, the number of new Disney+ app installations last month was 660,000. This figure easily surpassed Coupang Play (530,000), Netflix (510,000), and TVING (500,000).
The number of monthly active users also saw a significant increase, rising from 2.45 million in January to 2.95 million in one month—an increase of about 20%. "Fate War 49," which was released on February 11, drew explosive attention and helped attract new subscribers.
