The inspection items include: ▲measures for slope protection, soil erosion, and rockfall occurrences at construction sites; ▲ground scouring activities and subsidence in surrounding areas; ▲restrictions on access to excavation edges, and the storage of construction equipment and heavy materials.
The inspection targets include major facilities on private roads such as Ilsan Bridge, the Third Gyeongin Expressway, and the Seo-Suwon to Uiwang Expressway, as well as nine road construction sites under non-administrative authority (Yeoncheon 1, Hwaseong 1, Namyangju 3, Anseong 1, Yongin 2, Icheon 1). Each project site will submit the results of their own inspections to Gyeonggi Province, which will then conduct on-site verifications with external experts specializing in civil engineering and quality safety.
The province expects that focusing on these risk factors will help prevent safety accidents caused by ground weakening, and plans to continue proactive inspections targeting seasonal vulnerabilities in order to minimize blind spots in management.
