Ministry of SMEs and Startups Recruiting SMEs for 'Climate Disclosure and Supply Chain Due Diligence Response Project'
Applications Accepted Until March 26
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on March 5, 2026, that it is recruiting companies to participate in this year's SME Climate Disclosure and Supply Chain Due Diligence Response Infrastructure Project.
The Climate Disclosure and Supply Chain Due Diligence Response Infrastructure Project is designed to help domestic partner SMEs preemptively assess risks related to supply chain restructuring and establish response systems in preparation for strengthening global environmental and climate regulations, such as the EU Supply Chain Due Diligence Directive, which will take effect in July 2028.
Starting this year, in addition to supporting individual companies, a new consortium recruitment method has been introduced, allowing lead companies, partner SMEs, and implementing organizations to participate together. Through this approach, the Ministry plans to provide customized solutions that reflect the requirements of lead companies.
For selected companies, an in-depth diagnosis will be conducted first, where experts will visit on-site to comprehensively analyze management systems and risk factors and identify areas for improvement.
Based on the results of the in-depth diagnosis, companies at a general level will receive improvement consulting to enhance weak indicators such as energy efficiency, industrial safety and health, and greenhouse gas emissions measurement and inventory building. Companies assessed at an excellent level will be supported in preparing sustainability management reports and obtaining international certifications.
In addition, for self-diagnosis participants and others, preferential interest rates will be offered when using private banks such as Kookmin, Nonghyup, Shinhan, Woori, Hana, and iM Bank, in order to ease financial burdens on companies. Even after the project is completed, satisfaction surveys will be conducted to evaluate performance, ensuring ongoing follow-up management.
