GS Engineering & Construction Extends Safety Support to Complexes Beyond Defect Liability Period... "Strengthening Customer Trust"
On March 4, GS Engineering & Construction announced that it will implement the safety support initiative "Like Xi, With Care" for Xi apartment complexes where the defect liability period has ended.
This initiative involves inspecting aging common areas and critical facilities tied directly to residents' safety, such as electrical rooms, mechanical room pumps, and waterproofing membranes, to proactively prevent large-scale incidents like fires and flooding.
After coordinating schedules in advance with the residents' representative council, GS Engineering & Construction and Xi S&D will dispatch specialists in each field to the sites to inspect the common facilities. The results will be provided in the form of a report. Upon residents' requests, GS Engineering & Construction also plans to offer explanations, education, and consultation to apartment management companies based on the inspection findings, to help ensure the safe operation of the complexes.
A spokesperson from GS Engineering & Construction stated, "This 'Like Xi, With Care' service is a program that extends Xi's existing aftercare system to complexes where the defect liability period has ended. GS Engineering & Construction recognizes the importance of residential safety and will do its utmost to earn customers' trust by ensuring peace of mind for residents from the initial move-in stage through long-term occupancy."
Meanwhile, Xi has continued to foster trust with customers by providing phased aftercare services even after residents have moved in. For the first one to two years after occupancy, the construction company proactively inspects landscaping, community facilities, parking lots, and other common areas—before residents even request it—through the "Report First and Refresh" program, allowing it to establish a proactive management system.

Additionally, the company operates the "Xi Immediate Refresh" service for complexes where more than three to four years have passed since move-in and most finishing material warranties have expired. This service, which supports the easy and convenient replacement of aging consumable items, aims to minimize inconveniences for residents.
