This product is a material used in cables for industrial automation, robotics, and electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. Through this, BASF plans to further enhance its local responsiveness to the cable industry in the Asia-Pacific region.
Previously, in 2023, BASF began local production of its halogen-free flame-retardant (FHF) TPU series. With the addition of this new flame-retardant grade product, the company has expanded its portfolio of flame-retardant TPU products.
The company expects that by establishing local production systems for both product lines, it will be able to respond more quickly to regional regulatory changes and specific flame-retardant performance requirements.
