Korea Transportation Safety Authority Launches AX Working-Level Council for AI Transformation
The Korea Transportation Safety Authority announced that it held this year’s first AX working-level council meeting at its headquarters on the 24th to implement the Artificial Intelligence Transformation (AX).
As part of the government’s initiative to become one of the world’s top three leading AI powerhouses, participants put their heads together to establish an AI-centered management system and set the direction for innovation in public services. The authority is promoting 26 detailed implementation tasks, including building an AI-based civil service automation system and developing automotive systems that utilize physical AI in vehicle inspections.

The council is composed of internal job experts, as well as external working-level specialists in large language models (LLMs), data utilization, computer vision, and physical AI. Jung Yong-sik, President of the Korea Transportation Safety Authority, said, “We will lead the AI transformation of the public sector by actively applying artificial intelligence and smart systems across all areas of our work to innovate both work productivity and services for the public.”
