Kim & Chang (Managing Partner Jung Kyesung) will hold a seminar titled "Trends in AI and Information Security Regulation and Response Strategies" on February 25 at the Crescendo Building in Jongno-gu, in collaboration with the Korea University Center for Data and AI Law and the Information Security Forum of the Korea Association for Information Law.
There will be a total of three sessions. Attorney Shim Jiseob from the Safety and Reliability Policy Division of the Ministry of Science and ICT will give a presentation on the overall framework of the Basic AI Act. Afterwards, Kim & Chang attorney Ma Kyungtae will give a presentation on the topic of "Issues Arising from the Enforcement of the Basic AI Act and Corporate Response Strategies." Kim & Chang attorney Yoon Ari will present recent regulatory trends under the Personal Information Protection Act and the Information and Communications Network Act in light of recent hacking and personal data leakage incidents.
A panel discussion will also be held. The panel will include: Professor Kim Hyungjong of Seoul Women’s University; Ryu Yong, Head of the Infrastructure Strategy Center at the Korea Telecommunications Operators Association; Park Sungshik, Vice President of Nol Universe; Kim & Chang attorney Bang Sunghyun; and Professor Yoon Haesun of Hanyang University School of Law.
