Saemaeul Women's Association in Guam 2-dong, Masanhoewon-gu Donates Tteokguk Rice Cakes to Help Neighbors
Delivered to 100 Local Households in Need
On February 12, Guam 2-dong in Masanhoewon-gu, Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam Province announced that the Saemaeul Women's Association had donated 100 bags of tteokguk rice cakes (worth 1 million won in cash) for low-income residents in the area to mark the Lunar New Year holiday.
This donation was arranged to deliver warm-hearted support to neighbors in need ahead of the holiday, and all of the donated tteokguk rice cakes were distributed to 100 low-income and vulnerable households in the district that require assistance.
Lee Gwanghae, head of the Saemaeul Women's Association, said, "It may be a small gesture, but I hope it will help local residents spend a warm holiday," adding, "We will continue our sharing activities on a regular basis going forward."
