Through the agreement, the two companies decided to cooperate in three areas: promoting proper pet funeral culture, expanding pet insurance, and carrying out joint campaigns. The aim is to alleviate the information asymmetry and psychological burden that pet families experience during the funeral process amid a growing number of households raising companion animals, and to contribute to the spread of a responsible pet culture.
Based on the agreement, DB Insurance will launch the Popaws partnership service through the DB Insurance application and mobile web starting on the 19th. The partnership benefits are offered to DB Insurance pet insurance policyholders and customers verified as raising companion animals, and take the form of providing a fresh flower arrangement coupon that eligible customers can use when they utilize Popaws funeral services.
Details such as how to receive and use the coupon and the applicable conditions can be found in the pet-only section of the DB Insurance app.
A DB Insurance representative said, "We will continue to expand reliable partnership services so that customers can receive the help they need even in the process of parting with their companion animals," adding, "We will make continuous efforts so that this agreement can contribute to establishing a proper pet funeral culture."
