The advisory committee members agreed that Ara Gaya in Haman fully meets the requirements for designation as a historic capital and possesses values that distinguish it from existing historic capitals, and they proposed strategies and directions for improvements to communicate this effectively.
The county plans to actively incorporate the expert opinions presented that day into the application and submit the final supplementary materials to the National Heritage Administration within February.
Haman County Governor Cho Geunje emphasized, "As a historic city that preserves the splendid culture of Ara Gaya, the designation as a historic capital is a core project that will establish Haman's identity and enhance its future value. Based on advice from the nation's top-level experts, we will prepare flawless supplementary materials and do our utmost to reap the fruits of designation as a historic capital in 2026."
