Incheon Airport Launches 600 Billion-Won 'Aviation AI Innovation Hub' with LG CNS and Others
CT Development Consortium Selected as Preferred Bidder
Construction of 5 MW GPU Farm and 40 MW-Class Data Center
Incheon International Airport Corporation announced on February 10 that it has selected the CT Development consortium as the preferred bidder for the Aviation Artificial Intelligence (AI) Innovation Hub development project and will move forward in earnest with the project. LG CNS and Korea Investment & Securities are participating in the CT Development consortium, and a large-scale investment totaling 600 billion won is planned.

View original imageThe Aviation AI Innovation Hub is an ecosystem-building project aimed at internalizing core physical AI technologies such as robotics, autonomous driving, and urban air mobility (UAM), and turning the Republic of Korea into a global center for aviation technology. The corporation plans to nurture it as a national strategic asset that not only advances airport operations through AI, but also drives the competitiveness of the domestic AI industry.
To this end, a high-performance infrastructure called the "Aviation AI Specialized Computing Hub" will be established. A 5 MW GPU farm will be built, integrating NVIDIA's next-generation Blackwell architecture-based B200 GPUs, to provide a computing environment capable of inference for ultra-large AI models. In addition, a 40 MW-class underground bunker-type data center that meets the Grade A standards for national security facilities will be constructed to ensure dualized power systems and a robust data protection framework.
More than 50 AI tech companies, including NC AI and Upstage, will participate in technology validation and commercialization. Within the vast living lab that is Incheon Airport, these companies will implement next-generation AI solutions such as: innovation in airport services based on large language models (LLMs); logistics automation and autonomous robots; and intelligent airport operations and security. In particular, LG CNS will be fully responsible for the design and operation of the data center, while Korea Investment & Securities will participate as a financial investor, thereby establishing a stable execution system.
Based on the outcomes, the corporation plans to secure the standard in the global aviation AI market. At the "AAA Leadership Forum" to be held at Incheon Airport in June, it intends to proclaim the status of the Korean-style Aviation AI and take the lead in global standardization.
