Commitment to Practical Cooperation through Youth Exchanges and Joint Program Operations
Cheongdo County (Governor Kim Hasu) announced that on the 9th, under the auspices of the Cheongdo County Council of the National Unification Advisory Council (Chairman Park Hoseok), a sisterhood agreement ceremony was held with the Qingdao Council in China at the First Small Conference Room of the Members’ Office Building of the National Assembly.
This sisterhood agreement was promoted to broaden consensus on peaceful unification and to strengthen exchange and cooperation between the councils. The two councils agreed to continue a sustainable cooperative relationship based on mutual trust.
The event was attended by officials from the National Unification Advisory Council, as well as executives and advisors from both councils. They signed the sisterhood agreement and discussed plans for operating joint programs and expanding exchanges in the future.
Going forward, the two councils plan to promote substantive exchange and cooperation through: ▲ joint programs related to peace and unification ▲ exchanges between youth and regions ▲ mutual visits and information sharing.
Park Hoseok, Chairman of the Cheongdo County Council of the National Unification Advisory Council, stated, “I hope that through this sisterhood agreement, the two councils will become a model case of civilian diplomacy between Korea and China, and that the values of peace and co-prosperity will spread widely.”
