This event was organized to share the major achievements of industry-academia cooperation promoted through the RISE Project and Glocal University 30 M-Campus throughout 2025, and to strengthen the cooperative network among universities, companies, and local governments. Approximately 180 participants, including representatives from related companies and local governments, as well as faculty and staff, attended the seminar.

The main objectives of the seminar were: ▲ to build a collaborative network by sharing the achievements of industry-academia cooperation; ▲ to support local industries and promote joint projects with local governments based on industry-academia exchange; and ▲ to expand the outcomes of joint technology development projects and activate follow-up research connections.

In addition, by exhibiting the All-SET corporate support achievements promoted through the RISE Project and Glocal University 30, the seminar was structured so that participants could directly observe the concrete results of industry-academia cooperation on site. This allowed participants not only to share achievements but also to experience the practical possibilities and scalability of collaboration.

On the first day, following the opening ceremony, key achievements of the 2025 Hallym RISE Project and Glocal University 30 M-Campus were presented. Core projects related to industry-academia cooperation were shared, including achievements in Gangwon’s strategic industries and city/county specialized industries, G-Lab and M-Campus operations, regional employment and settlement-oriented specialized university development, startup and lifelong education cluster formation, and the International Student Citizen Project.

Presentations on outstanding cases of industry-academia cooperation followed, such as the collaboration between Hallym University and Donghae City and the demonstration of eco-friendly technologies addressing regional issues. Afterward, roundtable discussions for each project, commendations for outstanding family companies, local governments, and on-campus contributors, as well as a dinner and networking programs, were held.

On the second day, a total of 24 presentations on the results of joint industry-academia technology development projects took place, sharing achievements in RISE Project fields such as food tech, biohealth, ICT, and Town-MICE, as well as Glocal University 30 M-Campus projects.

Kang Iljun, Vice President for Industry-Academia Cooperation at Hallym University, emphasized that "the achievements of industry-academia cooperation are leading to practical collaboration models." Namsoo Kim, President of the Gangneung Institute for Science and Technology Promotion, gave a positive assessment, stating, "This sharing of achievements has laid the foundation for expanding into follow-up joint projects, going beyond a one-time report."

Misook Kim, Director of the Gangwon RISE Center, said, "The achievements of industry-academia cooperation have been practically implemented at the regional level," adding, "This event serves as a representative model for the expansion of achievements that concretizes the purpose of the Gangwon-type RISE Project on site."

Hallym University expressed its commitment to establishing a collaborative structure among universities, local governments, and companies from a mid- to long-term perspective, rather than limiting itself to one-off cooperation. The university also plans to expand its role as a hub for industry-academia cooperation that grows together with the region.
