SC Lowy is a global credit-focused financial group headquartered in Hong Kong. The firm specializes in private credit and special situation investments. In Korea, it began establishing its presence in 2013 by acquiring Joeun Savings Bank and further solidified its position in the domestic market by establishing a Korean branch in 2020.
Through this agreement, KB Securities and SC Lowy plan to strengthen their strategic collaboration, aiming not only for joint investments but also for the qualitative growth and enhanced stability of the domestic real estate and corporate finance markets.
The two companies intend to develop sophisticated joint response strategies in areas such as: supporting the normalization of real estate project financing (PF) sites experiencing temporary asset stagnation despite business viability; acquiring non-performing loans and enhancing asset value; and restructuring investments for companies in need of financial solutions. Through these efforts, they aim to proactively secure a strong portfolio that minimizes risk by turning market uncertainties into opportunities.
