DHX Company Signs MOU for Premium K-Food Joint Venture with Jeju Specialty Product Companies
DHX Company announced on January 29 that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for a joint business partnership to develop premium processed foods using Jeju specialty products with Okra Farm, an agricultural corporation chaired by Kim Bonghyeop, and Gongsimchae Agricultural Corporation, led by CEO Hong Changuk. The company aims to expand the K-food market through this collaboration.
This agreement is notable as it establishes a strategic partnership in which a Jeju-based food manufacturing specialist and a listed company with distribution and marketing capabilities work together to simultaneously expand domestic distribution and pursue overseas exports.
Okra Farm is a leading food tech company in Jeju, having developed and launched Korea's first air fryer pork cutlet. As the only dedicated pork cutlet manufacturer in Jeju, it has established a stable production infrastructure and quality control system. Okra Farm recorded approximately 6 billion won in sales last year. Based on this cooperation, both companies have set joint goals to increase sales and diversify into new business areas.
Gongsimchae Agricultural Corporation specializes in developing products using Jeju specialty ingredients, focusing on processed goods such as basil tea and tangerine seaweed. These products, recognized for their quality competitiveness, are exclusively supplied to Jeju Air's in-flight meals and SRT, among others.
Building on this foundation, DHX Company is currently exporting to global markets including Singapore, the United States, Malaysia, and India. Through this agreement, the companies plan to jointly leverage their overseas networks and strengthen product planning and brand strategies tailored to local consumer trends.
