The Seoul Metropolitan Government also plans to provide 169 long-term jeonse housing units near Kumho Station and 152 public rental officetel units in Muk-dong, Jungnang-gu.
On January 28, the city announced that its first Architecture Committee had approved a total of three projects: the Western Truck Terminal Urban High-Tech Logistics Complex Support Facility Site Development Project, the Kumho Station Area Long-Term Jeonse Housing Project (revised), and the Mukdong Complex Facility Construction Project in Jungnang-gu.
With this decision, the Western Truck Terminal will be developed with five basement levels and 25 above-ground floors, reaching a maximum height of 77.4 meters. The complex will include 990 residential units (including 98 rental units) as well as office facilities.
The Western Truck Terminal has been identified as needing functional reorganization due to changes in the logistics environment and the aging of its facilities. Reflecting these conditions, the city is pursuing redevelopment of the terminal into an urban high-tech logistics complex.
This project is a mixed-use development centered on advanced ICT-based logistics facilities, with residential units, office spaces, and lifestyle and sports infrastructure, aiming to both upgrade logistics functions in the southwestern region and improve the local living environment.
On the northern side, residential units, office facilities, and neighborhood living facilities will be arranged. The city plans to create public open spaces and incorporate eco-friendly designs to promote both a pleasant residential and work environment and vibrant streetscapes.
The project will proceed through obtaining construction permits from the Yangcheon-gu Office, with groundbreaking scheduled for the second half of 2026 and completion targeted for the second half of 2030.

In May last year, the abolition of the non-residential use ratio allowed for the addition of nine more units. With the revised plan, a total of 590 units can now be supplied, including 167 public (long-term jeonse) housing units and 423 for-sale units.
Alongside the residential units, the project will establish a local childcare center, the Kumho Welfare Center (including a senior welfare center and daycare center), and neighborhood living facilities, aiming to enhance both community engagement and daily convenience for residents.

The development will include 152 public rental officetel units and approximately 1,300 square meters of neighborhood living facilities on the lower floors.
The project will leverage the transit accessibility of the station area to supply public rental officetels and expand lifestyle-oriented neighborhood facilities to improve the daily convenience of local residents.
On the first floor along the northern roadside, public open space including a citizen rest area will be provided, while on the first and second floors on the west side, neighborhood living facilities will be arranged. Construction is scheduled to begin this year, with completion targeted for 2029.
