Gangwon Office of Education: Local Residents Take the Lead in Fulfilling Pledges
The Gangwon Special Self-Governing Provincial Office of Education held the "First Meeting of the 2026 Superintendent's Pledge Provincial Citizen Jury" on January 27 in the main conference room of the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Provincial Office of Education.
This Provincial Citizen Jury meeting was organized to promote field-oriented education in Gangwon through proactive participation of local residents in educational policy, and to ensure objectivity and credibility in the implementation of the superintendent's pledges.
The jury consists of 50 members, all residents of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province aged 18 or older, who were randomly selected through ARS and phone interviews, taking into account gender, age, and region.
The first meeting held on this day proceeded in the following order: awarding of appointment certificates to the jury members, education on the manifesto movement and the role of jurors, and group formation and discussion. The jury members will review changes to the implementation plans of the pledges, monitor progress, and propose improvement measures through a total of three meetings.
