"Severe Cold Continues"... Frozen Water Meters Surge Overnight Across Seoul
As the severe cold continues, cases of frozen water meters are being reported across Seoul.

View original imageAccording to the Seoul Metropolitan Government on January 25, a total of 37 reports of frozen water meters were received from 5 p.m. the previous day to 5 a.m. on the day of reporting. There have been no cases of cold-related illnesses or frozen water pipes.
The city is responding to the situation by operating a comprehensive cold wave response center, with 45 emergency work teams consisting of 158 people and an additional 50 patrol personnel.
Care activities have been carried out for 1,866 vulnerable citizens, including temporary housing support for the homeless and welfare checks for elderly people living alone.
