Dining Out with Dogs and Cats... Seocho District Launches "Pre-Inspection Service"
Pet-Friendly Dining Allowed at Qualified Restaurants from March
District Office Offers Pre-Inspection Service for Interested Businesses
Seocho District in Seoul (District Mayor Jeon Seong-su) is launching a "Pre-Inspection Service" for business owners who wish to operate pet-friendly restaurants.
With the revision of the Enforcement Rules of the Food Sanitation Act, starting March 1 of this year, restaurants that meet certain standards will be allowed to admit pets (limited to dogs and cats). The pre-inspection service is a system that checks in advance whether the business type, facility standards, and hygiene management comply with the Food Sanitation Act.

They will then receive guidance on whether operation is possible and any necessary improvements.
Through a QR code, business owners can access the Seocho District Health Center's food sanitation bulletin board to review operational standards, precautions, and information about the pre-inspection service. The district plans to support business owners in running their restaurants stably by reducing confusion at the business site and preventing unnecessary costs through this service.
