Saek in the Spotlight Amid K-Defense Boom... Accelerating Growth of LINAC for Defense
The LINAC system, a defense product inspection device developed by Saek, a company specializing in electron beam-based materials, components, and equipment, is rapidly gaining traction and making an increasing contribution to the company's performance.
According to Saek on January 9, the sales proportion of the LINAC system for defense applications has risen from 2% in 2021 to 17% in 2024. As of the cumulative sales through the third quarter of last year, this figure climbed to 24%, demonstrating a steep growth trend.
This growth is attributed to the expansion of K-defense exports, which has led to increased overseas sales and a broader range of applications for the LINAC system within the defense sector.
A representative from Saek stated, "We have recently signed supply contracts with military units, further driving market expansion. In the first half of this year, we are targeting large-scale orders worth between 7 billion and 9 billion won from domestic and international clients, so we expect our order backlog to continue increasing throughout the year."
