Muan County Mobilizes All Resources for Urban Snow Removal to Ensure Resident Safety

View original imageOn January 1, starting from 8:00 p.m., a heavy snow advisory was issued for Muan County, South Jeolla Province, and as heavy snow fell, the county has been making every effort to clear snow from urban areas to alleviate inconvenience for residents and ensure public safety.
The county activated Emergency Level 1, maintained a rapid response system with 13 collaborative departments and townships, and deployed 13 snow removal vehicles to clear snow along 13 road routes, covering a total distance of 180 kilometers, with a focus on major roads.
Additionally, from the early morning of January 2, Muan County officials, including Governor Kim San and Deputy Governor Kim Byeongjung, personally participated in on-site snow removal, clearing accumulated snow from key urban streets such as the area from Muan County Office to Muan-eup Jungang-ro, as well as alleyways in residential neighborhoods.
In Muan, snow removal and safety inspections are being conducted simultaneously on major roads with heavy vehicle traffic, as well as in urban and residential alleyways where pedestrian safety is a concern. The county is also continuing to monitor the situation in preparation for additional snowfall.
Governor Kim San stated, "We have mobilized all available personnel and equipment to prevent inconvenience and accidents caused by heavy snow," adding, "We will remain vigilant and do our utmost to manage snow removal and safety, especially in vulnerable areas."
