By offering special items that can only be obtained during the festival period, the event is expected to stimulate the collecting desires of game participants and encourage increased tourism inflow and longer stays in the region.
In particular, a variety of on-site events will be available for visitors, thanks to in-game programming that can only be enjoyed at the festival venue.
Additionally, a "Pok?mon GO" promotional booth will be operated at the Pyeongchang Trout Festival venue, which is expected to serve as a catalyst for revitalizing MICE tourism in Gangwon in celebration of the 2026 Visit Gangwon Year.
