Daejeon Municipal Museum to Hold Special History Essay Lecture with Curators
Held from January 5 to 30, 2026
The Daejeon Municipal Museum will hold a special history essay lecture with the museum's curators during the winter vacation, aimed at helping teenagers not only study history but also enhance their critical thinking skills and prepare for essay writing.
This special lecture will take place over four weeks, from January 5 to January 30, 2026.
Curators at the Daejeon Municipal Museum, who hold master's and doctoral degrees in history-related fields, will personally lead the lectures. The course will cover methods of approaching history and select major topics from different periods of Korean history, with each session focusing on a new subject.
Although history is often regarded as a subject based on simple memorization, it is actually the foundation for improving logical thinking. This course will remain faithful to the nature of history as an academic discipline.
More than just a history class, the program will also include experiential learning and writing activities, making it beneficial not only for teenagers interested in history but also for those seeking to enhance their critical thinking skills and prepare for essay writing.
The lectures will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for two hours, and registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis via the Daejeon Municipal Museum website starting on the 22nd of this month.
