View original imageThe Disaster Mitigation Activities Excellent Company Best Practices Competition, hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and organized by the Korea Enterprise Disaster Mitigation Association, is an event that rewards organizations for their efforts to maintain core work functions during various disasters. The competition focuses on evaluating "business continuity plans" and "recovery procedures after the suspension of core work," with the aim of encouraging individual organizations to continue essential operations even in the event of disasters.
Korea National Oil Corporation, as a disaster management agency operating nine oil stockpiling bases nationwide, was recognized for its efforts to ensure and enhance the continuity of national critical infrastructure functions, which led to the commendation.
In particular, Korea National Oil Corporation was recognized for its excellence in several areas: securing a stable oil supply system in the event of natural disasters or similar emergencies; obtaining both domestic and international certifications for its business continuity management system; achieving zero major disasters for eight consecutive years; and recording zero major industrial accidents for five consecutive years.
