View original imageThis meeting was organized to share the 2025 key strategic regulations and achievements in corporate regulatory improvement among the 18 cities and counties, and to explore directions for regulatory reform in 2026.
In particular, the meeting included sharing an understanding of the regulatory sandbox and specific case studies of its application, and conducting policy research together with the Gangwon Research Institute and the Korea Climate Change Research Institute.
There were also presentations of outstanding regulatory innovation cases from the cities and counties, such as improvements in temporary building permit procedures and the easing of criteria for designating alley-type shopping districts, followed by in-depth discussions on suggestions related to regulatory improvements.

Kwak Ilgyu, Director of the Special Self-Governing Bureau, stated, "This was a meaningful opportunity to listen to and discuss the voices of the cities and counties for the improvement of Gangwon Province’s key strategic and corporate regulations."
