119 Ambulance Transporting Critical Patient Collides with Sedan... Five Injured
At 6:13 p.m. on December 21, a 119 ambulance from the North Chungcheong Fire Department, which was transporting a patient in an emergency, collided with a BMW sedan on a road in Musil-dong, Wonju, Gangwon Province.
At the time, the North Chungcheong Fire Department was urgently transferring Patient A (52), who had suffered severe internal injuries from a tree-cutting machine, along with Guardian B (51), to a hospital in the Wonju area.
As a result of the accident, the ambulance overturned. Patient A was transported to Wonju Christian Hospital in cardiac arrest, while three paramedics and Guardian B sustained minor injuries.
