Fishing Boat Capsizes off Seonmido, Incheon: 1 Missing, 4 Rescued
Off the coast of Incheon, a fishing vessel carrying five people capsized, leaving one crew member missing and four others rescued.
According to the Incheon Coast Guard Station, at around 2:14 PM on December 19, a report was received that a 7.9-ton fishing vessel had capsized 13 kilometers north of Seonmido Island, Ongjin County, Incheon. As a result of the accident, crew member A went missing, while the remaining four were rescued by another vessel.
The Coast Guard is airlifting the captain, who suffered a head injury, by helicopter, and the other crew members are reported to be in good health.
The Coast Guard, together with a naval vessel, is deploying patrol boats, a hovercraft, and aircraft to conduct a search operation focused on the surrounding waters.
