KakaoBank Extends ATM Fee Waiver for One More Year
KakaoBank announced on December 19 that it will extend its policy of waiving fees for all automated teller machines (ATMs) nationwide for another year.
According to KakaoBank, it is the only domestic bank that unconditionally waives withdrawal fees at all ATMs across the country. KakaoBank customers will be able to use all ATMs at banks, convenience stores, and other locations nationwide for deposits, withdrawals, and transfers without any fees next year as well.
The ATM fee waiver policy has been in place consistently since KakaoBank's launch in July 2017. From its launch through the end of November, the total amount returned to customers through this policy has accumulated to 436 billion won.

In addition, KakaoBank offers other benefits such as waivers for early repayment fees and cashback on check cards. As of the third quarter of this year, KakaoBank has saved 1.2 trillion won in financial costs. A KakaoBank representative stated, "We will continue to strive to practice inclusive finance going forward."
