View original imageEight newly designated holders of national intangible cultural heritage and one organization will receive certificates in the name of the President.
The Cultural Heritage Administration will hold the '2025 Certificate Award Ceremony for Newly Designated Holders of National Intangible Cultural Heritage' at 2:30 p.m. on December 18 at the Eolssu Maru Small Theater of the National Intangible Heritage Center in Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do. Commissioner Heo Min will attend and present the certificates.
This year, eight individuals and one organization have been recognized across six categories.

In the field of traditional technology, six individuals were selected: Kim Youngi and Kim Younghee, Embroidery Masters; Choi Seongwoo, Court Painting Master; and Kim Youngseong, Lee Gwangbok, and Cho Jaeryang, Master Carpenters. In the field of traditional performance and arts, Oksoon Jeong, Gayageum Sanjo and Byeongchang Master, and Lim Jinok, Daegeum Jeongak Master, were chosen. In the field of rituals and ceremonies, the Bongeunsa Saengjeon Yesujae Preservation Society was recognized as an official holding organization.
