Kyochon F&B Establishes Industry's First Nationwide Six-Day-a-Week Delivery Network
Delivery Expanded from Three to Six Times a Week Nationwide
Enhancing Raw Chicken Freshness and Customer Satisfaction Simultaneously
Kyochon F&B, the operator of Kyochon Chicken, announced on December 16 that it has established the first nationwide “six-day-a-week delivery” network in the chicken franchise industry.
Kyochon’s six-day-a-week delivery represents a significant upgrade from the industry’s typical delivery cycle of three to four times per week. By expanding its previous three-day-a-week, every-other-day delivery to six times per week, the company has simultaneously enhanced the freshness of raw chicken and improved operational efficiency for franchisees. By increasing delivery frequency, Kyochon aims to reduce inventory burdens for franchisees and minimize the risk of stockouts by supplying raw materials in a timely manner, thereby significantly boosting stability in on-site operations.
Although the implementation of the “six-day-a-week delivery” system inevitably increases logistics costs for the head office, the company explained that this choice reflects its “quality-focused management” philosophy, prioritizing the highest quality raw materials and greater satisfaction for both franchisees and customers.
Previously, Kyochon F&B began pilot operations in April with franchisees in the Seoul metropolitan area. Encouraged by positive feedback from franchisees, the company expanded its distribution network nationwide. Currently, Kyochon is demonstrating the effectiveness of its on-site logistics innovation by utilizing the six-day-a-week delivery system for all franchisees across the country.
In addition, to further enhance the overall efficiency of logistics operations, Kyochon plans to complete the implementation of a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Transportation Management System (TMS) by the end of December. By establishing a real-time data-based management system, the company aims to improve operational efficiency and reduce logistics costs. Leveraging the six-day-a-week delivery and advanced logistics systems, Kyochon also plans to accelerate the strengthening of its mid- to long-term logistics competitiveness through expansion into third-party logistics (3PL) and the establishment of new logistics networks.
