Chungnam Economic Promotion Agency Obtains ISO 37001 Certification... Meets International Standards for Integrity Management
Anti-Bribery Management System Certification
Officially Establishes Transparent and Responsible Management System
The Chungnam Economic Promotion Agency has officially established an integrity and ethical management system that meets international standards by obtaining certification for the anti-bribery management system 'ISO 37001', established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). This achievement is seen as external recognition of the agency's efforts to promote organizational innovation and strengthen transparent management since its integration.
On December 16, the Chungnam Economic Promotion Agency announced that it had obtained certification for the anti-bribery management system (ISO 37001), established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
According to the agency, ISO 37001 is an international standard certification granted to organizations that have established a management system capable of identifying, preventing, and controlling corruption risks in advance.
In October 2023, the agency was newly launched through the integration of the Chungnam Job Economy Promotion Agency and five centers under the Chungnam Institute.
During this process, the agency unified its economic and job support functions to enhance administrative efficiency and established an integrated support system to revitalize the local economy and promote balanced regional development.
In particular, the agency has presented a new vision of becoming an "economic platform that drives the growth of residents and businesses," setting four core values: ▲innovative growth ▲field-oriented approach ▲mutual cooperation ▲professional competence, and is focusing on supporting business growth and job creation.
This ISO 37001 certification serves as a key foundation supporting this vision, and was pursued to institutionalize a clean and transparent ethical management system.
The agency conducted integrity training for all employees, established preemptive risk assessments for corruption factors, and set up internal control procedures, thereby overhauling its overall management system. As a result, it met international audit standards and received certification.
Director Han Kwonhee stated, "This certification is significant not only as a formal system adoption, but also as evidence that the organization has established a self-regulating system capable of preventing corruption on its own," adding, "We will establish ourselves as a leading, clean public institution driving the regional economy based on the trust of local residents."
