"Employee Safety Comes First"

All employees at Kakao have been urgently switched to remote work after a threatening message claiming that explosives had been installed at the company headquarters was received.

According to Kakao on December 15, a threatening message stating that explosives had been placed at Kakao's headquarters, Pangyo Agit in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, was received by the customer service center earlier that morning. The message's author reportedly claimed to have installed homemade explosives at the Kakao headquarters.
