Police Conduct Search and Seizure at Gangseo District Council Over Public Servant Recruitment Corruption Allegations
In connection with allegations of corruption in public servant recruitment, the police have conducted a search and seizure at the Gangseo District Council in Seoul.
The Gangseo Police Station in Seoul announced that it carried out a search and seizure at the Gangseo District Council from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on December 11.
This measure is believed to be aimed at verifying findings from an investigation previously conducted by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission regarding allegations of irregularities in the recruitment of special appointee public servants at the Gangseo District Council.
The police launched an investigation after receiving information from the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, which had received a report on the recruitment corruption allegations at the Gangseo District Council in September.
