Daebongsan Natural Recreation Forest in Hamyang Selected as Top Institution for Forest Welfare Services
Only 19 Out of 160 Natural Recreation Forests Nationwide Selected as Outstanding Institutions
Daebongsan Natural Recreation Forest in Hamyang County, South Gyeongsang Province, announced on December 11 that it has been selected as an outstanding institution in the "2025 Forest Welfare Service Provider Evaluation."
This evaluation was organized by the Korea Forest Service and the Korea Forest Welfare Institute. Out of 160 natural recreation forests nationwide, only 19 were selected as outstanding institutions, with Daebongsan Natural Recreation Forest achieving remarkable results as one of them.
The evaluation comprehensively assessed the appropriateness of forest welfare service provision, the rationality of institutional management, and user satisfaction. Daebongsan Natural Recreation Forest received high scores in these areas, earning its designation as an outstanding institution.
As a result, Daebongsan Natural Recreation Forest will receive a nameplate and certification logo from the Korea Forest Welfare Institute. This certification logo will be valid from 2025 to 2027.
This recognition is expected to widely promote the excellence of the services provided by Daebongsan Natural Recreation Forest and serve as an opportunity to attract more visitors.
The head of the Forest and Greenery Division stated, "Daebongsan Natural Recreation Forest will continue to improve its facilities to provide high-quality forest welfare services, expand healing forests and forest interpretation programs, and strive to contribute to revitalizing the local economy and attracting tourists for longer stays."
