BNK Financial Group Hosts Digital Innovation Challenge Hackathon to Discover Ideas from Employees and Millennials & Gen Z

BNK Financial Group held the "Digital Innovation Challenge Hackathon 2025" to foster a culture of digital innovation.

BNK Financial Group (Chairman Bin Daein) announced on December 10 that it hosted the "Digital Innovation Challenge Hackathon 2025" to gain insights from the digitally native generation, who are future customers, and to discover innovative ideas from employees and Millennials & Gen Z.

In this hackathon, which began at the end of October, the group collected a wide range of ideas from the younger generation across three agendas: ▲ AI-driven work innovation strategies, ▲ financial innovation using digital technologies and channels, and ▲ financial innovation utilizing blockchain.

The competition was divided into two tracks: "Track 1 for Employees," which focused on ideas to address practical issues and drive innovation identified by staff in the field, and "Track 2 for Domestic and International University (Graduate) Students," which sought ideas from the perspective of the younger generation and customers. Through these tracks, BNK solicited creative ideas for its future digital innovation.

A total of 84 teams participated across various fields for each topic. After selecting the top five teams in each track, a final review was conducted today, and three teams from each track-six teams in total-were chosen for their outstanding ideas.

Park Sungwook, Executive Vice President and Head of AI Future Value at BNK Financial Group, said, "As the first hackathon held to drive digital innovation at BNK Financial Group, we expect the innovative ideas discovered through this event to be actively utilized in BNK's digital financial innovation."
