The evaluation criteria were strengthened, centering on projects that contribute to population growth and the improvement of residential conditions.
Pocheon City's "Taebong Park Healing Zone Development Project" aims to strengthen the residential foundation so that citizens will come and stay, by revitalizing the local community, expanding living infrastructure, and increasing youth- and family-friendly spaces.
This project was recognized for its excellence in several evaluation categories, including the completeness of its planning, feasibility, and contribution to population inflow. In particular, it received high marks for its strategic planning, which precisely reflects the characteristics and needs of the region.
In addition, the Pocheon Education and Culture Complex Space "Dureondureon," which was selected as an excellent project for the 2025 Local Extinction Response Fund, is a core project of Taebong Park. It is being developed as a living hub with educational, cultural, and care functions for all generations, from infants to youth, adults, and seniors, and is scheduled for completion this year.
Starting with Dureondureon, Pocheon City is gradually developing a Community Zone that will include a national and public daycare center, the Arium Sports Center with a swimming pool and fitness center, the Haneulmulkkot Playground, a grass plaza, the Arisol Sports Plaza, and various sports, landscaping, and play facilities.
The Arium Sports Center is scheduled to hold its completion ceremony on the 25th, and the Community Zone is planned to open to citizens in May 2026.
Alongside this, Pocheon City will fully implement the "Taebong Park Healing Zone Development Project," aiming for completion in December 2026. The city plans to create a residential environment where daily life, education, leisure, and walking are naturally connected by establishing features such as a Safe School Route, Slow Walking Path, Meeting Road, Forest Shade Playground, and Matgil Culture Plaza.
